At our cat hospital, we offer home grooming tips and provide professional grooming services for your furry felines.

Most cats are compulsive groomers on their own, but cat owners can still assist their feline friends.  Regular brushing helps prevent fur from becoming matted, which is especially important for cats with longer hair.  

While cats typically do not require bathing, you can give your cat a bath, if necessary.  Provide your cat with a wooden or wire platform in the tub for stability; only use shampoo made for cats. Make every effort to keep shampoo and water out of your cat's ears by using cotton balls. Likewise, protect your cat's eyes from shampoo irritation by using an ophthalmic ointment. Completely towel dry your cat afterward and comb out any mats.

Cat breeds with long hair, in particular, benefit from regular professional grooming for its health benefits, while cat owners appreciate its aesthetic appeal. We can trim out mats, shave cat bellies for comfort and even do a "sanitary shave" in the area under your cat's tail. Some cat owners like the lion shave for their long-haired cats, which we perform while your cat is under anesthesia.
