Offer Opportunities for Exercise
Provide your cat with plenty of climbing and scratching posts to get them up, moving and stretching. Toys also motivate exercise, and can be as inexpensive as a sturdy paper bag for rustling-around play. If you give your pet a large box and a soft ball to bat around inside it, you have created a kitty hockey rink.
Choose Healthy Foods
Every cat has different tastes and needs. Our veterinarians can advise you on the best kinds of kibble and treats for your individual cat as well as how to make sure you feed your feline the right amount of food.
Brush Teeth
Help your cat avoid dental disease by gently brushing his teeth daily. Make the task easier by using a tiny finger-cap brush and toothpaste formulated for cats. People-type toothpaste will make your pet ill. Instead, give her pet toothpaste formulated to taste like beef, chicken or tuna.
Relax Together

Maintain Safety
Minimize or eliminate outdoor roaming time except in an enclosed pet run. Also keep breakables to a minimum in your cat's roaming area. Finally, check ASPCA plant safety lists for houseplants to which your cat has access.
