The vaccinations for FVRCP and leukemia both require at least two injections, which must be administered approximately three to four weeks apart. Rabies requires only a single injection at a time, but it is required by law that all cats receive regular boosters throughout their lives. Cats should also receive an FVRCP booster once every three years. For cats who are at a greater risk of infectious disease, perhaps because they live near unvaccinated outdoor cats, an annual leukemia booster is recommended, but otherwise, this is not necessary.
