Rachel Boltz

Dr. Rachel Boltz received her DVM degree from Michigan State University in 2001 and has been in companion animal clinical practice for 18 years. Dr. Boltz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Feline Practice, originally credentialed in 2009 and re-credentialed in 2019.
Rachel is pictured with her beloved cat Charlie, who was with her from her second year of vet school until one month shy of his nineteenth birthday. Rachel’s hobbies include brushing her cat menagerie (a never ending and thank-less task!) and vacuuming.

Dr. Boltz has received certification in both Basic and Advanced Life Support thru the RECOVER Initiative (2019).  In addition, she has pursued advanced training for companion animals in:  diagnostic ultrasound (abdominal and thoracic/cardiac); fracture repair; and both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, rhinoscopy, cystoscopy and bronchoscopy. Her advanced training and her years of experience in diagnostic interpretation, surgical intervention, and medical management support her mission to deliver directed, rational, and rapid assistance to her patients and clients. In 2008, she was awarded the National Winner of the Best Veterinarian in America contest.  She is a past Don-Low Practitioner Fellow (2008-2009) in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis College of Veterinary Medicine and received a Certificate of Achievement in Hemodialysis from the same institution years later (2015-2016).
