How Can I Tell When My Cat Is Sick?

Wouldn't it be great if cats could talk so we could ask them how they feel?

Cats are good at hiding that they are sick. 

Recognizing illness in an early stage gives the best chance at successful medical treatment.

Common Signs of Illness

• Urination or Defecation Outside of the Litterbox
• Changes in Interactions with People or Other Pets
• General Malaise or Weakness
• Changes in Grooming Habits
• Obvious Weight Loss or Gain
• Changes in Consumption of Water or Food
• Increased Amount of Urine Production
• Straining to Urinate or Defecate
• Constipation or Diarrhea
• Increased Amount of Vomiting
• Arthritis Stiffness and Difficulty Jumping Up
• Sneezing and/or Coughing
• Bad Breath
• Changes in Vocalization
