Preparing For Your Visit

We Proudly Support Heaven Can Wait!

We encourage you to visit the Heaven Can Wait Sanctuary website at hcws.org to learn more about their tireless efforts to end unnecessary euthanasia of so many unwanted dogs and cats in Las Vegas. Heaven Can Wait has created many innovative programs that support the pet overpopulation problem in Las Vegas.

If you are thinking about adopting a new cat or dog, Heaven Can Wait is a wonderful choice. They have adorable pets on display at several Petsmart stores in Las Vegas and on their website, hcws.org that are ready to go to a new home....

If you are interested in placing your cat into a new home, below are suggestions and a listing of local rescue organizations that may assist you.

*When trying to find a new home for a cat(s), the most successful plan of action includes:

  • Spread the word to family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and even out of state relatives and friends.
  • Try searching for assistance through online rescue & adoption services. Get a list of rescue groups in Nevada and our surrounding states at: www.creaturesinheaven.com and also check www.petfinder.com. Please refer to our list of rescue groups and shelters below.
  • Reach out to online local & nationwide breed-specific rescue groups and clubs.
  • Place an advertisement in the newspaper.
  • Place an ad on bulletin boards at vet clinics, pet supply stores, & grooming shops
  • Look under Animal Care listed under Community Services in the YELLOW PAGES

Below is a listing of local rescue organizations: Please keep in mind that many of the rescue organizations are overwhelmed with the amount of animals that already require their attention. They also receive hundreds of phone calls daily. These groups often have many animals that are ready for adoption, and/or can provide advice and assistance when trying to find a new home for a cat.
